David N. Hing, MD, FACS
Dr. David Hing* is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 24 years of surgical experience. He serves as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Forest Health Medical Center in southeast Michigan. He received his undergraduate degree and MD from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1975, and completed his surgical residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Hing was an Assistant Professor in Surgery at Temple University in Philadelphia from 1982 to 1984, before completing a hand and microsurgery fellowship in San Francisco. He has been an Assistant Professor in Surgery at the University of Michigan since beginning his practice in Michigan in 1987. Currently he is the section head of Plastic Surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Hing has been board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1983 and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, all organizations which require board certification by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons.
